How to prevent catastrophes

When was the last time your equipment had a preventive maintenance inspection? Only discovering that your machinery needs maintenance when it fails catastrophically during a production run is definitely not ideal.

That’s why sticking to your inspection schedule with BTS Engineering is so important – we will identify and service or repair any parts before they break, interrupt production, and end up costing you thousands. If any of your machinery or plant is due for an inspection, don’t put it off a second longer –  call us now and we’ll make sure it keeps doing its thing with no nasty surprises.

Machinery can feel the cold just like we do – and the effects can be just as severe. The lifeblood of machinery – its oils and lubricants – can take a lot longer to reach operating temperature in cold weather. Giving it a longer time to warm up reduces drag on motors and drive systems and lowers the chance of breakdowns. Another thing to consider is that if you’re using your machinery less in winter due to reduced production demands, the lubricants will settle lower in the lubrication system. Giving it time to warm up means the lubricants have time to travel everywhere they need to be before the full production load goes onto your equipment.

We aim to be as much as One-Stop-Shop for your machinery and plant engineering and maintenance requirements as possible. The more we can do, the simpler and more cost-effective it will be for your business. To broaden the scope of our offering, we’re adding commercial ducting manufacture, installation, and maintenance to our services. Talk to Clint about your commercial ducting needs, and we’ll make a plan.

As part of our One-Stop-Shop service, we’re proud to report that our technician, Ronan Buchanan, will soon be qualified as a ‘Permit Issuer and Receiver’ through Blackwoods Protector Safety. He’s set to complete his training by the end of August. That means you won’t need multiple people on site, because Ronan will have it all covered for you – quickly, easily and efficiently.

After nine years without a break, Clint is heading to the UK for a family holiday in October. Over the month he will be away, he expects one of the highlights to be the Bonfire Society festival. This is a series of bonfires and Guy Fawkes-related celebrations at country towns throughout soutbh-east England. It looks like a lot of fun. He’s also checking out Singapore on the way there and Bangkok on the way home.

So if you need to speak to him about anything, make sure to do it before he leaves.

But don’t worry, the rest of the BTS Engineering team will still be here with the excellent engineering services and maintenance support that you can rely on. Call us on 0800 885 383 now.
